Mooning over a Sunrise

Now that my caption catastrophe has been cromulently combobulated with credit to your collaboration, here is the second set of morning photos from the first week of November:

Another sunrise from Wednesday 4th (not that there were two sunrises on Wednesday - that would be most peculiar - just another set of sunrise photos in addition to those in the previous post)

Beach huts for Maddie

Sunrise from the prom

At the promenade slipway (Coast Road end)

Sun trail (which leads to the Netherlands, or thereabouts)

Revetments leading to Sidestrand

The End-of-the-Line is out there in the middle-distance

Trimingham

Camera was having a drama queen moment here, but I rather like it

Right.  That's enough.  Time to head back up the cliff and home

The Moon grows on trees, don't you know!

::

The next three are from Friday 6th, and are sunriseless:

Cromer Pier from Overstrand

Groyne!

CORMORANTS!  That's a juvenile on top with the white breast and belly.
(I found a family of fonts named "Cormorant", so I thought I'd use it to caption this photo.  This one is "Cormorant Unicase".  I probably won't use it again though, as it is quite difficult to read at such a small size)

~o~

As well as Cormorant Unicase up there, you might have noticed that the font for this post isn't Trebuchet (as has been used on this blog for aeons), but something different: Spectral.

I don't think I'm going to use it (much) going forward - I just thought I'd try it out.

    2. A burger van wouldn't go amiss either, socially distanced of course.

  2. That sunrise is breathtaking!

I agree, that "Cormorant" font is probably best suited to banner titles for something like Cadfael than a photo caption. Maybe there's a font out there called "Shag"? Spectral's OK, but it reminds me of a "free book preview" from Amazon...

    1. It was rather stunning. See, some things are worth getting up early for.

Fear not, I'm sticking with Trebuchet for the forseeable. Unless there is a font called Shag...

    2. Bizarrely - yes, there is. It's a bit Scooby-Doo... Jx

    3. Blimey! Yes! Shag Exotica is just right for emblazoning the side of a van with "Mystery Machine"

    1. It could be a great scientific endeavour to catalogue the different types of Devon Murk. You'd probably win a Nobel Prize, or something?

  4. I like Trimingham. Very golden. The very antithesis of Devon.

    1. Sadly, there is very little gold in Trimingham. Dick Wittington would be even more disappointed in visitng Trimingham than London!

  8. Shags AND groynes and extra sunrises still in the same year! Truly, 2020 is going to be remembered as the weirdest bloody weirdo of all the years.
But those of us still kicking up heels and not daisies thank you.

    1. Yes, that extra sunrise was the kicker. It was bad enough having to get up once, nevermind twice in the same day!
