GPE #6 & 7 : Peenee & Norma vs the Church of the Holy Crackpot

Welcome to the sixth and seventh "gardens" of the

10th Anniversary  I N F O M A N I A C  Garden Photos Event

Not for these two stalwart Infomaniac Bitches, Peenee and Norma, the delicate intricacies of beautiful little garden flowers.  No, these two size queens have something far more massive in mind: Trees!

Our first stop is the streets of San Francisco, and the trees outside Peenee's place:

🌴

Since I sold my house and garden, I no longer have the lock on winning the garden crown (again) [Once again, the Management would like to remind you that the Garden Photos Event is NOT a competition - IDV]

The closest thing to any greenery I have are the miserable sycamore trees in front of my apartment building. Fifteen of them and every one more pitiable than the last. The city scheduled a hearing on removing them in August and then reconvened it for this month because of Covid. You'd think no one could possibly argue against cutting down trees that have no possible function except to turn into wooden shrapnel during one of our winter storms, but this is San Francisco. Someone will probably claim they're sacred to their Church of the Holy Crackpot or something.

🌴

[Editor's note: Just look at the splendidly ornate street lights in Peenee's neck of the woods.  Aren't they lovely?  Certainly a cut above the 70s industrial chic lights around here.  Imagine if The Magician's Nephew had taken place in San Francisco instead of London, and Jadis the witch-queen snapped off one of these lamp posts instead of one of the boring old London ones: Narnia would be ever so much more Fabulous with a lamp-post like this growing in it!

Also, I'm curious as to what's stuck to the lamp-post in the palm-lined snippet below.  It looks like an open envelope, but what was in it?  An invitation?  A secret message?  A coded hook-up note? - IDV]

🌴

The next "garden" is offered up by Norma.  While the photo is not of Norma's own garden, I'm sure it will be one day.  Let's see what Norma has to say about her offering:

I’ve done no gardening, but I’ve been delighted to see tRump and his female counterpart readying their graves [for this coming Tuesday*]

* Norma, of course, sent this photo in BEFORE election day.  Norma, your methods of divination are top notch - we'll have to swap tips.

By the way, French president, Emmanuel Macron seems very eager to get those two in the ground, doesn't he?

🌴

Before we leave, Peenee and Norma, this cut-off corgi-pants-wearing Big Lug says he's available for your gardening needs.  Or just your needs in the garden...

[Do you know how difficult it is to find someone suitable for Peenee and Norma?
I spent mere micromips scouring the interwebs for some big, muscular lunk cavorting around in some greenery with a corgi or two, to no avail.  I had to make this one myself in MSPaint.  That's another few micromips I'll never see again.
Although...  he is rather cute...]

🌴

The whirlwind garden tour continues in a day or two with very select offerings from 'Petra, Ms Scarlet, and Savvy in the penultimate post of the 10th Anniversary Infomaniac Garden Photos Event - Don't miss it!

  1. Sycamores! Yuk. I like the palm trees, however.

As for the lunk, he appears to be wearing children's cartoon-motif panties OVER his cut-offs...

    1. Dear, we don't want them to smart, but to just lay there.....

    2. I must say, it was quite the struggle getting him into those corgi undercrackers. And as you can see, he's constantly having to readjust himself.
I did tell him it would be easier if he let me remove the cargo-shorts first, but he said he was saving his goods for Peenee and Norma...

    3. You missed an opportunity to use the FGES!! I could send them to you for future struggles, if you like?

    4. Drat! That's very thoughtful of you Ms Scarlet, but I wouldn't want to take away from your excitement at hosting the Freakin' Green Elf Shorts Caption Competition sometime very soon...

  2. Norma's comment on digging the graves is an image I'll cherish forever. Just this morning, I was contemplating how long the Orange Menace can keep going before he keels over. However, if COVID didn't kill him, he may be indestructible. Perish the thought.

Peenee's street lights are works of art and beauty. If they were in my neck of the woods, someone would have yanked them out and replaced them with something ugly.

    1. That Marmalade Halfwit will probably last for aeons - no one gets to be that shade without covering themselves in all sorts of artifical colours and preservatives...

  3. Well, I DID call it, didn't I? I may consider hanging a shingle outside my door!

And finding a Peenee stud with corgi bloomers is an award winning find, Bravo!!

    1. If the Informaniac doesn't reopen full time, I'll hire you as my Official Casa du Borghese Fortune Teller. You get free room and board, cooked meals and plenty of meat.

    2. Don't wear him out too quickly, Norma - I don't know that I'll be able to find another great lunk willing/ambivalent enough to squeeze into corgi underoos.

  4. Hell Norma may have caught history with that picture. It just may be the only proof the dump did any hard labor...just once.

And, I'm any guessing on this, but that flapping paper on the pole my be the directions on how to get to Peenee's glory hole. Having been to the Castro I adore the street lights too, but I enjoy any pole really.

Now what's not to like but the big lug exposing his precious Corgi??????

    1. I think you may be on to something re the pole paper. It seems to be quite high up that street lamp - too high for that woman walking past, but not for the statuesque Peenee!

  5. Those sycamores have certainly seen better days, sugar! It's years since I wandered in the Castro, but I thought the trees were cut back so they'd have more leaf growth in the spring? But, then again, WTF do I know about trees and plants? xoxo

    1. Those trees look like they're recoiling in horror from Peenee's building!
Well, that first one does anyway. I wonder if Saki's glaring at it through the window?

  6. If that's how the stacked six pack wears his undies I wonder how he copes with plague mask?

  7. TREES!!! Why didn't I think of that? I could have taken a picture of a tree, dang it.
What is Melania wearing? I guess it's her burial shroud.

    1. Either her shroud or one of those A-board things with news headlines on it. I wonder what the back of it says?
Actually, she kind of looks like she's poised to push the Marmalade Halfwit in. Once he's dug a big enough hole, that is...

  9. Sorry I'm late, did I win yet?

People are always sticking crap on the lamp posts, yammering about their lost cat. I say if your cat ran away from you, you should just take a hit and move on.

    1. Yes, you won! Congratulatio-

Oh. I forgot: May we remind you that the Garden Photos Event is NOT a competition.

And their cat probably took a hit while crossing the road to escape. Unless... Peenee, is there a Mad Cat Lady in your area who collects them all?
