I just want to be laying in the shade of a big tree with a chilled bottle of wine and a good book. But it's too hot to go out and find said tree. I guess I'll just have to mope around here for a bit.
Phew what a scorcher! as our tabliods would have it , I feel a bracing dip in the sea coming on. Get that mankini out of the drawer Mr I and get some colour on that alabaster complexion
That's a beautiful tree photo. You could always paint your ceiling to look like that and then lie down on a pillow on the carpet. It could help during those days you don't want to go outside. But then again Beaky might start to miss you...
Beast: Oh no, I need to stay pale to give the illusion that I'm interesting.
MJ: A good idea, but I'm concerned as to what the neighbours may think of my new banana holder.
CyberPetra: Cripes! A whole week?
Tara: You've given me a fabulous idea - I'll paint a tree on to the side of the house. hopefully, Beaky will fly straight into it, knocking himself out! Ha!
Eros: That thought is making me feel all warm inside.
Tim: Ha, indeed.
T-Bird: * gets out the Jeyes fluid and kitchen towels *
Dinah: If only we could all spend the day like that.
P&T: I did take that picture, actually. At the Burgh Apton Sculpture Trail last month. It was bloody hot then, too.
W*P*D: I know exactly what you mean. the air-con on our floor at work is broken - I felt like peeling my skin off today!
Oh what a beautiful tree! Mind you, someone was recently killed by lightning by sitting under one such tree in the park next to where I live.

You could invite Beast over and lay in the shade of his big arse.
ReplyDeleteIt's also way too hot to be cleaning which is what I've been doing.
ReplyDeleteMy parents are coming to stay for a week. Oh joy!

ReplyDeleteOn the plus side, you're inside where it's much cooler, while your feathered uninvited guest bakes in the heat...
ReplyDeleteI see you're "branching out."
ReplyDeleteHa.
Ha ha.
Ha.
!
ReplyDeleteLove, Beaky.
Oh, that sounds like such a good way to spend a day.
ReplyDeleteI love that pic!
ReplyDeleteYou didn't take the pic, did you? It's not possible.
Ah I so need that tree. If the the aircon doesn't kick in soon I am going to take all my clothes off. Trust me, no-one wants that!
ReplyDeleteSnooze: Shocking.
