Long-lost (time travel?) photos from the Shackleton Expedition?
ReplyDeleteI was lucky to get out alive! The ice flows crushed my boat and I nearly had to eat Mrs Chippy!
DeleteGood for you! Though some may think you unreasonable.

Perhaps I should have said "unfeasible" rather than "unreasonable"? Although, I fear some would think I was unfeasible, too...
DeleteSweet Mary Sunshine! What wild photos, sweetpea! Enjoy the Bank Holiday and good weather! xoxo
ReplyDeleteThank you Savvy! I hope you had a great weekend, too.
DeleteWhich planet was this on? They all look so alien to me.
ReplyDeleteAnd talk about warmth. We reached 91 and 93 last week two days...too soon for that yet.
LV-426. Doesn't look so bad in the summer, does it?
DeleteI agree with Mistress Maddie - the pictures look like the set for a Sci fi film. Where did you drift to?
ReplyDeleteOh the dangers of witchcraft!
Turns out, after I trod on that dratted button again, I ended up on the set of French & Saunders' Aliens. I was lucky to escape without getting shot by Kathy Burke and her unfeasibly large bazooka!
DeleteAh, but you left us some contemplative groynes!
ReplyDeleteAnd there're more to come!
DeleteCool landscape shots! Love the brook/tide pool fotos! Very spectacular and intriguing shapes and colors!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the holiday!
Thanks Eros! It's already a boiling hot day with a blazing sun in the sky (at 9:30 in the bloody morning!), so I think I'll be enjoying my indoors in the cool. I might even do some blogging!
DeleteI stand in awe IDV. Or, better, I sit. SOme of your images scream for something like "The Raft of the Medusa"-like swimming subject. But I am not in a position to critisise your amazing camera work, it is just what came to my mind. SOme images look like illustrations to a cursed expedition into the centre of the world, like when Edgar Allen run out of Laudanum ; illustrations for one of those 18th century travel books about new found lands - very evocative, I say. We saw the salt ridges and feared the magnetic mountain ...
ReplyDeleteMmmmmmmm - I love the sunshine! Jx
