Here we are on the eve of the Summer Solstice and all I have to show are some tales of impending doom! The doom of Spring, that is, as we segue into Summer and the promise of blooms to come.

When the Mistress returns?? To play safe I take a picture every month in preparation; even if she's back in September I can send her something from July, she'll be none the wiser :-)

LX: Um... Whatever camera is hidden within the inner gubbins of my phone - a Nokia Lumia 520? My digital camera is broken, and I haven't got around to getting it fixed yet (if indeed it's fixable).
I'm afraid that the garden has been neglected this year... far too much happening and not enough water falling from from the sky and I refuse to pay exorbitant government fees for water usage. They have tripled in the last 2 years! So the garden either survives on rainfall or dies. The only thing I do water is the vegetable patch and more often than not in the heat of summer ends up being sunburnt and wilted most of the time...

Well, I'm not surprised, as you are the busiest Princess I know! Although, I would have thought that those psychotic gnomes could do something around the garden (other than the unmentionable) while you're directing renovations or out clothing hoardes of pirates?
ReplyDeleteAs to the scorching summer and lack of rainfall, it must be heart-breaking to see your plants wither and die. However, those plants that do survive should be stronger and more suited to these extremes in weather, so maybe in a couple of years, you will have a full and hardy garden again? In the meantime, just live vicariously through the Garden Photos Event!
