Sounds of Summer

 Just not this summer...
And some of them aren't even from summer!
 Oh, hush, you.

"Cake by the Ocean" - DNCE (September 2015)

"At the River" - Groove Armada (July 1999)

"Groovejet (If This Ain't Love)" - Spiller feat. Sophie Ellis-Bextor (August 2000)

"Lady (Hear Me Tonight)" - Modjo (June 2000)

"Crying at the Discoteque" - Alcazar (April 2000)

"Call on Me" - Eric Prydz (September 2004)
Ahhhhhhh... Juan Pablo Di Pace!   Mmmmmm...
Well, quite!

"Love Invention" - Alison Goldfrapp (April 2023)

With a special play for Dario G (thanks to Jon)

"Sunchyme" - Dario G (September 1997)

Well, it looks like Ysenda Maxtone Graham (from the previous post) was right!  It's been another gloriously sunny day here.

  1. Yes, it seems summer is just about starting - right on time for it to be MID summer tomorrow...

Great selection of choons (and memories)! [Although I have never quite understood what the fuck Cake By The Ocean was meant to be all about. Drugs, most likely.] Jx

  2. You know I love dance and upbeat music. I would swear your trying to get me over heated in this hot weather to remove more clothes.

  3. A pretty good selection, Mr Devine! Yesterday was overcast in Devon, but maybe we'll have a bit of Summer today.
To be honest, I yearn for summer from January onwards - but now we are overwhelmed with Horse Flies and the scent of Tea Tree oil to combat the bites, so now I'm remembering why Winter isn't so bad!

    1. I hope you got your sun, Ms Scarlet? Sans horse flies, of course.

  4. Yes cake by the ocean is a euphonium for 'dot dot dot', I'll put it no stronger than that.
Love that song by Groove Armada 'if you're fond of sand dunes...' always reminds me of the sand dunes of Gran Canaria and the goings on.

    1. And I expect there were plenty of euphoniums in those Gran Canaria sand dunes, too!
