Sea Cows at Sunset

Had I been a minute or two earlier, and that annoying cloud bank not been there, last night's sunset is something like what you would have seen at the end of last month's Summer Solstice.  Although, preferably without the sea cows...

Hmmmph!  Some odious sea cows ruining the shot.

They're ruining this one and the next one, too!

Sea cows were last seen on this blog back in 2020.

Phew!  Thank gods weekends of blogging are rare events as I'm exhausted now.  The last couple of days should see me through to the next week or so, hmm?

  1. Coming soon: Mr. DeVice strolls hand in hand along the beach at sunset with his new paramour.

    1. In keeping with the 18th century novel set-up, we shall be fully clothed with not even a hint of ankle showing, and be escorted by a couple of stern chaperones.

    2. Alternatively, Burt Lancaster and Deborah Kerr in From Here To Eternity. Jx

    3. I think I may have mentioned before somewhere that there's no way I could pull off Burt Lancaster (ooerr, Missus!), so I'd have to attempt Deborah Kerr.

  2. So picturesque. Maybe the next post we could see some sea cocks?

Drat! The Allure appears to be broken. It may be some time before I can meet your request...

  3. I rather see your water logged log....then sea cows....but it's your blog. I must say you did manage to take my breath away with those pictures. Not many can claim that without having sex with me.

    1. Oh, well, I'm glad the pictures managed it as I very much doubt my 'water logged log' could manage it at this distance!

  4. It just so happens that we are currently watching the second season of Bridgerton, so when I read your last post and there was mention of a bee I was thinking of thats how and now here you are strolling on beaches. I'm going to imagine you dressed all dapper-like at such a wee hour of the morning because I can. I have a good imagination, a dark sapphire blue velvet frock coat with matching vest...I suppose you wear pants, fitted trousers so we can all appreciate your bum, footwear optional, it is the beach after all.

    2. Ooh, I'd like a dark sapphire blue frock coat! It's about time I replaced my deep plum flight suit and cloak...

:: wonders if my "fanny" would suit sapphire ::

    3. I'm sure it would! I think the color is complimentary to pretty much every body type.

  5. Is this because the bloke you picked up at the garden centre turned back into a sea cow? I have a spell to fix that.

  6. I think the cloud bank looks like a giant white bird bringing peace and hope.... yes, I have obviously had too much sun, and I see cows.

    1. It does look rather like a bird. A dove perhaps, rather than a phoenix like this one...
