Saturday Swim: Submerged SeaWitch

Hold on to your lunches!  (Don't even try and guess what this is)
You can blame Mistress Maddie for what is about to be inflicting upon you!

::

But to give you a little time to prepare yourselves, here are some photos from Thursday morning's swim:

The Host's stone spiral (last seen here) as discovered (left), and refurbished (right)

Cormorants!  (on loan from Ms Scarlet's expansive coastal retreat)

Forties Sentinel (and groupie)

Glovis Spirit, Orion, and Europa EZ OSPF (offshore platform, I suspect?)

This lazy seal appeared to be fast asleep, and was slowly drifting east along the coast.

But it wasn't the only lifeform lurking in the depths as the following photos from this morning demonstrate...

Yikes!  What pallid monstrosity is this looming up from the depths?

Gah!  My eyes!  So pale!

Oh, no!  There's more of it!

Right.  That's it.  If I'm going to be insulted, I'm off back to my seabed lair...

That's enough of that.  Let's get on with the rest of this morning's photo's, shall we?

  1. Good heavens! Body parts!
Is there a meme going round? I haven't done a bum post in ages [tut - don't say it]. I have some nasty horse fly bites I could show.
    Sx

    1. A meme? Not that I know of, but if you show off your horse fly bites (are there any on your bum?), perhaps it will start trending?

    2. [I have to !]
Oh my GOd, the very fair idea alone of The Little Behind reappearing - oh dear ... with bites ! Oh these envided horse flies !
      Yes, let's have a meme !

  2. On my yes!!!!! I have always thought you had sexy legs!!!! More leg than a bucket of chicken!!!! My observations have just concluded you have big hands too. I also wondered if maybe in the first picture that was an air bubble or something else lurking.....

Now these pictures are so lovely. In the one, I would swear there are two Cormorants smooching each other on the poles from the jetty sticking up out of the water. When I'm at the lake I love watching then all sit drying their wings out.

Now lets view them gams again shall we.

    1. I do like that "kissing cormorants" photo - a lucky shot.

As for my legs, well yes, they are rather long, but not very shapely - they look less repulsive underwater (as seen in this post), or in Ms Scarlet's fishnets (and the Freakin' Green Elf Shorts) as seen here.

And my hands? Is a 26cm (just over 10 inches) span big enough for you?

    2. P.S. That is not an air bubble...

    3. "a 26cm (just over 10 inches) span?!?!?! 😮😲😜

ah, yes, yes it is. I love you tall guys. What are you doing next Thursday afternoon? I see there is a Redeye.......

    4. A groyneful of gulping shags! Though I do think smooching sounds nicer..

    5. Oh, Maddie, I'm sorry to disappoint you, but Thursday is Count Podgkinson's birthday, so I won't be catching that flight...

  3. Is "suction knob" the correct translation for "Saugnapf" ? Maybe something with water pressure ...

I think picture number four is perfect - I am sorry, I'm tired & a bit pissed, at least too lit to explain properly why in English, it's about colours, relations and stuff, it is different from tons of similar looking, but not perfect pictures we can see in other places. Maybe the little knob on the horizon makes all the difference.
BTW, I am impressed - You are the second man I ever met who knows his handspan. (The other is long dead, and was a German writer/author.)

    1. I like picture #4, too - that tiny ship on the horizon is enough to rescue it from blandness, I think?
I think more people should knock back a few drinks before looking at my photos and posts if it makes them appear better!

"Suction knob"? Now, don't go giving Maddie ideas...

P.S. I knew it was big, but I had to give my span a quick measure before posting ;)

    1. I've just realised that it looks like the dumpy hind leg of some ungulate in that photo!

  5. Just over 10 inches that is very impressive. I've just measured mine 7 1/2 inches.

    1. All this talk of measurements reminds of the League of Gentlemen scene where Chloe and Radcliffe Denton are at the Pandemonium Carnival and know all the Irish Giant's measurements. Including the one which is "three and a half inches".

P.S. The span across his hands is 7 1/2 inches, just like yours!

  6. I think that that is your membrum virile in a bin bag. One of the advantages of being a dog is that I can sniff out a crotch miles away.
As for that thumb - does every other part copy the dimensions and aspect?

    1. Drat! Foiled again. Well, not foiled, Spandexed...

The dimensions and aspect of that thumb can be found in one other body part - my other thumb! (but to a lesser degree)
