Return to Shark Mountain: The Return!

As Friday looked set to be quite a nice day, I took to the beach again.
And took far too many photos of loads of things you've all seen before!
Which will be inflicted upon you if you scroll through this post.
The SubCs are right, you know.  You've only got yourselves to blame for continuing.
It's got to be better than all that Star Trek stuff in the previous post, though.
 Quite.

Aside from the beach huts, the cliffs at the bottom of the promenade slope look quite dramatic

Recent storms and rough seas have scoured a lot of the sand away, leaving rubble and exposed groynes

There were quite a few sea-going vessels skirting the horizon on Friday,
such as the H&S Prudence...

... the Sara Naomi (YH333)...

... the Olza...

... the Fugro Galaxy...

... and the A2B Spirit.

That's enough of them, let's get back to the beach

This looks for all the world like a meteorite crashed down in the chalk bed.  I don't think it is, though

Looks somewhat out-of-place, doesn't it?  Rather like a filling amongst a row of white teeth

And here are all the bad teeth (as observed by Dinahmow in a previous post that I can't be bothered to find and link to)

Actually, speaking of Dinahmow: here's her enormous groyne!

Nothing can compete with Dinahmow's worn and battered groyne, which is why it's at the...

... End-of-the-Line

Oh, look!  We made it back to Shark Mountain!

Just like death followed the original Shark Mountain post, so it shall follow this one, too!

  1. What stunning geological structures! They are nature's sculptures! Love the contrasting colors and edges and curves and naturally carved shapes. Fantastic!

I didn't realize just how busy the shipping lanes are in your coast. Now I'm curious, exactly who are y'all trading with on your coast that's causing all that shipping traffic? Fugro Galaxy is an awesome ship name. A2B Spirit sounds like a boyband. I'm imagining the crew harmonizing and dancing on the ship.

Love Shark Mountain! Such a resplendent sight! It's a neat and unique landmark.

    1. Despite all the ships, most of them bypass us completely. The cargo ships and tankers are usually heading to some ghastly northern town, like Hull, or leaving some ghastly northern town, like Hull, for the Netherlands or other such nether regions. Only a few stop off at Great Yarmouth or Lowestoft further down the coast.
Research and support vessels like the Fugro Galaxy (it is a cool name, isn't it) and the Vos Gorgeous tend to hang around off the coast doing research and support type things, while the little fishing and crab boats are back and forth from the fishing towns and villages around here (like Overstrand, Cromer, the Runtons etc).

      Happy Easter, Eros!

  2. Those bad teeth rock formations (igneous breccia?) are really interesting.

    1. Um... Yes? I don't know the proper name, but it's just great swathes of chalk embedded with flints ;)

  3. Was that seal trollop still lounging about on the beach?

The Queen's Mother had a set of teeth just like that rock formation.

    1. No, the trollop had trolled off somewhere. Probably flirting with some other beach goer. The floozy.

P.S. Didn't Pedro Vagina do Ken Dodd's teeth, too?

    2. A comedian over here referred to the Queen Mum as having 'a hat like a hydrangea and teeth like a row of condemned houses...'

  4. Return to Shark Mountain is definitely a film title Mr de Mille.
Can I have my teeth back please? Well, they're not exactly mine but I need them for a spell on their owner.

    1. But the Queen Mother's dead, Hound...?
Ah, you want to raise her from the grave! Jolly good. I'll send them off to you forthwith.

  5. Ha... now I know why I had toothache last week. Some sort of spell, Mr Devine?
