Even Aliens Need Holidays

At long last, the fog has lifted and the sun's come out.  And on my day off, too!
Making the most of the sunshine and soaring temperatures - at least 20°C, and set to get hotter - I wandered along to the cliff top here in Overstrand with my sister, Inexcuseable, earlier this morning.

I took a few photos to mark this auspicious occasion, but when I got back to Château DeVice to sort them out, I discovered this:

Yes.  A UFO!  Aliens are visiting Overstrand for their holidays.  Possibly...

I wonder if they saw me taking photos of the stars behind Château DeVice last night?

From left to right: Auriga, Perseus, and Cassiopeia.  The big glow in the bottom left corner is the Moon.

I've yet to sort out last night's star photos, so I'll pop another post up featuring them another time.

  1. Ooh! I'll pop back tomorrow. (I've done some really heavy bush pruning today and need to sleep)...

  2. I think it's probably a biscuit crumb, or a helicopter.

  3. Definitely UFO! They've seen the beautiful pics you post of the beaches and they've come to see it for themselves and enjoy some fish and chips by the sea.

Don't let them probe you without buying you dinner and drinks first!

    1. I shall send my bill for commission to the North Norfolk Tourist Board after I've recovered from my "second date" with the aliens.

  5. There's too much light pollution here to see such a starry night! Even the drive out to the beach has ruined the night sky. When we first came to Savannah, the drive out to Tybee Beach at night was to experience a canopy of stars in the inky black sky. I'm massively jealous, sweetpea. xoxox

    p.s. If that is a UFO... ;~)

    1. It's such a shame that your night sky has succumbed to light pollution. What about the wildlife refuges near you? Or have they also been affected?

  6. Have you been abducted, impregnated and thoroughly experimented on yet? Better get your teeth examined for unexplained 'fillings'! I' m madly jealous when all the excitement we've had is another massacre yawn.
