Strictly Aljaž

Presenting the naughtiest pro-dancer on Strictly Come Dancing and Strictly: It Takes Two, the always entertaining - and extremely handsome - Aljaž Skorjanec!

Aljaž dressed as the Milk Tray Man in episode 4

As much as I love the Saturday main show, Strictly Come Dancing, Zoe Ball's weekday "variety show" Strictly: It Takes Two is my favourite.  Full of gossip, training videos, interviews, behind the scenes wonder, music, costumes, celebrities & pro-dancers, Ian Waite's Wand, choreography, Vicky Gill, comedy, sketches, and general nincompoopery, It Takes Two is only better when Aljaž Skorjanec is on.

Cheeky and charming, the adorable Aljaž often has Zoe, Gemma (Atkinson - his brilliant celebrity partner this year), the studio audience and crew, in high spirits and laughing along with him and his antics.

This year, my favourite running gag from ITT is Aljaž's reaction to the screen caption that runs at the start of his & Gemma's interviews.  Usually, the captions are just a play on the celebs' and pro-dancers' names, and are not really noticed by them as they chat with Zoe.  This year, however, Aljaž has begun to take note of the captions, and got a surprise when last week's told him to "Stop reading this and pay attention!", and yesterday's instructed him to "Make a funny face for us".

"Gonna score, eh?"

"I wonder if it will be with IDV...?"

Aljaz & Gemma were dressed as Baloo & Bagheera from the Jungle Book in Strictly's Movie Week

I just hope the ITT crew continue with the captions!

  1. Very, very cute, mischievous, and a sense of humor? That's a deadly combination in bed. I'm willing to find out.

Love the captions too...what a hoot.

    2. Or... Get another one in for the wallpapering while Aljaž makes the drinks?

And maybe a third for doing the vacuuming?

  4. What a great sense of humor and chemistry between those behind the scenes crew and a principal performer who genuinely seems to be having fun and showing it. Great tv. Hope he wins! But I suppose he's all ready a winner, getting to laugh on tv.

    1. It's the humour and chemistry that makes this show a Must See for me. I'd take ITT over pretty much anything else on TV!
