Otherwise known as An Unsuccessful Swim...
No, I didn't write that. |
Oh, and for anyone hoping to see glimpses of naked flesh, you'll be sorely disappointed as the nudists were not in evidence - probably scared off by the waves/seagulls/cormorants/apocalyptic sky...
Hmmm... Doesn't look too bad |
Uh oh... |
Are we about to be smote? |
"Oi! You up there! Hadn't we better warn the others?" |
"Oh, but they're all the way over there." |
"Wha-? Was goin' on?" |
"The apocalypse, you say? Right. We're off!" |
"C'mon. Le's gerroutovere!" |
"Byeeee!" |
False alarm. No apocalypse today |

"Is it over with yet?" "Don't look at me, no one tells me anything!" "Hang on. The next picture's a boat. I think that signifies the end." "Bloody good!" |
Next time "someone" gets handy with the chalk, I recommend "NUDIST BEACH BEHIND."
ReplyDeleteI'll be sure to leave a note for whoever defaced our nudist fence.
DeleteOh, pease, Someone, add an apostrophe.
ReplyDeleteAren't there enough already?
DeleteOh, here's that l you dropped...
Oh, forgiveness sake, I have cormorant envy. Again. Just when I thought I might get away with my blurry photograph.... back to the hedgehog then...

It couldn't be helped, Ms Scarlet. They kept jumping out in front of the camera whenever I was setting up a shot.
DeleteI think I meant: for goodness....

I think either works.
DeleteWhen in Rome (or a nude beach), do as the locals do. And it looks like the locals got smart & avoided the rough seas. Otherwise, all the nudists would've been washed out to sea, & the shipping people might be stymied as to how to fish out nekkid people & where to put them on the boat & keep their nekkidness from making contact with the merchandise.
ReplyDeleteFantastic captures of the furious sea clashing against the barriers! What spectacular splashes! Very intense. I can almost hear the waves rushing & smashing hard against the wave breakers, white foam spraying on everything.
What a gorgeous, glorious golden sea poppy! I mistook it for a hibiscus at first. Such a vibrant color!
:: gasp ::
Deletemaybe that's what's in those tankers/freighters - nudists!
You description and praise of the sea is making me giggle like a schoolgirl/Homer Simpson! Hee hee heee! Hee hee heee!
You got my hopes up there, only to have them dashed. Don't worry, Inexplicable, I noticed that there is a lack of selfies in this post and my crystal ball has revealed everything to me. That said your secret is safe with me (wipes steam off glasses and sits down in a darkened room to recover)
ReplyDeleteDrat! I left the kettle boiling too long again, didn't I.
