Deer, oh deer...

Sticking with the wildlife theme (see previous post), this is what I saw when I looked out of my study window at quarter to seven this morning: a couple of roe deer.
They ambled about, inspecting the front gardens of each house - and the bins! - before wandering off towards the green space at the end of the road.  Then, three quarters of an hour later, when I left the house, they were loitering on the pavement a couple of doors down!

These roe deer can usually be found on the old railway embankment behind the house, but I guess this morning they just fancied a change of scenery?

  1. Maybe the animals are getting ready to take the planet back?

    1. I'd be surprised that they want it considering the mess we've made of it. Although, I'm sure they could get it back in working order in no time.

  5. Obviously delinquents looking to cause trouble. Couple of thugs if ever I've seen any. I'd call the cops if I were you.

  6. They look strange. Shouldn't these animals have horns, antlers, something on the head ? I vaguely remember a song called I shot Bambi's Mother, but I do resist the evils of youtube !

  7. This is the start of the future as we all retreat to our banks of Andrex. Of course a Bull is regularly seen near me.
I also need to see your railway embankment, please, because I have a thing about them. In fact for the relics of old lines full stop.

    1. Pics of the railway embankment coming up. Be warned, though: It is extremely overgrown - there's no evidence of manmade materials (bricks, concrete andthe like) for a mile either way!
