These photos are from this morning's brief perambulation along the promenade. Surprisingly, I didn't get too wet!
This shot is from the slipway at the foot of the Pauls Lane access slope to the beach
I'd walked east along the prom then turned back to take this photo
Heading east again
Straight on to Sidestrand, and on the horizon where the cliff meets the sea is Trimingham
This is the far end of the prom at the Coast Road slipway
The following six photos are of the revetments protecting the cliffs to Sidestrand
Not all cormorants are holidaying in Devon...
The Titan Endeavour - such a grand name for such a little boat!
Great photos!!!! Was there a storm at sea....looks rough. Thank god you didnt get swept away.
ReplyDeleteNo, there was no storm here, just a combination of high tide and a strong winds further north pushing more water our way.
DeleteSpume, spume, everywhere, and not a drop to drink! Jx
ReplyDeleteIt is definitely for spitting, not swallowing.
DeleteI saw some pics of Wells-next-the-Sea the other day and figured you'd have a some splash on your front.
ReplyDeleteGreat scenes. Thank you.
We like these end of summer high tides as they catch the faux-posh tourists out (Wells and Cley are particularly afflicted) and, if we're lucky, sweep them away!
DeleteThank you for the photos! They are grand [crikey, I have no idea why I've gone all Northern this morning - maybe I am missing Mitzi?]. Will your stones be washed away?
ReplyDeleteSx
Thank you! And, yes, those stone spirals probably only lasted a few hours until the tide came in.
DeleteYes, where is Mitzi? Has she flown south for winter?
These pictures are rather reminiscent of Kings Heath at the weekend.
ReplyDeleteBuggrit I've just cum again.
Again? You'd better get yourself down to Kings Heath before you're depleted!
