Return to Shark Mountain

The Vos Gorgeous looking, um... gorgeous?
I don't know about the rest of the country (Ms Scarlet? Jon? Hound? Mitzi?), but North Norfolk has continued to enjoy normal weather for the time of year since that dratted snow departed at the beginning of the month.  With an unexpected, but welcome, lull in duties, obligations, and chores, I took to the beach on Sunday afternoon and came back with the following photos:

Looking West - back the way I came - to Overstrand Beach

And looking East to Sidestrand Beach

End-of-the-Line

But beyond the End-of-the-Line lies...

... Shark Mountain, a collaborative beach sculpture by Sidestrand cliffs and the North Sea

Here's the same "sculpture" from a different angle

Walking Eastwards only shows the has-beens...

... and never-weres

So, with nothing more to see, I turned around and headed home

A last look back before climbing up the cliff and into the village

I'll leave you with the cargo ship Autopremier

Next time: Death on the beach brings a seal of approval...

  1. No corpses? I'm disappointed!
The weather is a little warm for the time of year.

    1. Don't worry, Hound, there's absolutely loads of death in the next post. Oodles of it!
      Well, some, anyway...

  2. We've had a beautiful few days in London, too - and everything in the extensive gardens here at Dolores Delargo Towers #4 is sprouting before our eyes. Fingers crossed for Easter weekend, as the whole outdoors bit is in need of a major sort-out ready for what may or may not be a Summer... Jx

PS Is this a case of "jumping the shark"?

    1. I hope the weather remains conducive for you to do some green fingering. Crossed or not!

As for jumping the shark, I'm worried about snagging my britches.

  3. I'm thinking the sculpture looks much like an avant-garde witch hat!

    1. Speaking of which: I VVatched The VVitch last night and those strumpets at the end could have done with more than a vvitch hat (avant-garde or not) to cover their indecency. I was shocked. Shocked, I tell you!

  4. Some of those "sculptures" could have come from the props department after making of "Jurassic Park"
My weather? Still rather rainy, but we're a fair way south of the flooding from the cyclone.Heard on the news this morning that Yorkey's Knob is under water> Make of that what you will.Or google it!

    1. I did think some of the imprints in the sand looked suspiciously like triceratops footprints...

I'm glad to hear that you're safe, Dinahmow. I did google Yorkey's Knob - it looks a bit moist, doesn't it? Looks like Nora really went to town on it!

  5. Hello, Vos Gorgeous! It's always lovely to see a familiar face! And now Autopremiere, which I assume is an Autobot in disguise on a secret mission. Are you sure the wind farm isn't some secret undersea Autobot base?

Shark Mountain and the rest of the formations are such stunning and spectacular natural sea sculptures! Absolutely resplendent! Thanks for sharing these awesome seaside fotos! Luv 'em!

    1. That would be so cool to have an Autobot base here! I wonder if there's a chance I could meet Hot Rod?

  6. Yes, it is normal here, i.e. lashings of rain. The sun has popped out since I've been on your blog. Spooky.
