Slow you down

Photographs from a trio of daydrifts.

Cromer beach. More than a bit blustery and nippy

The beginnings of a rainbow

Is that blue sky I see?

Yes!

The yet-to-be-destroyed beach huts with Cromer town and pier in the background

Another rainbow on the horizon

  3. Fab shots, as always.

I'm particularly impressed by the moon photo and I like the "slow you down" sign... a term I haven't heard before.

    1. Thank you, Mistress.

For true Narfuk realism, that sign should really be written like this: Slow yew darn, boy.

    1. Funny you should mention that, as I did notice a pile of discarded wax mannequins laying by the woodshed...

  7. Arrh, but wot say t'other two poles boy?...
A blustery day at the beach, one could almost do some surfing... If one was that way inclined...

Raging torrents passing under the jubilee bridge!... hope you wore your wellies...

    1. D'you know, I did have a hunt around in the verge for fallen signs, but I couldn't find anything.

As for the bridge, what you can't see is that both ends have been ineffectually taped off because the whole thing is rotting away (although you can see that!). Those raging torrents would carry one all the way to Mundesley, then deposit one out to sea!

  8. Awesome fotos! The streams, the woods, the paths--it's all very picturesque! The Cromer Church tower looks like something out of a fairytale. The half moon shot and the sunset Cromer Lighthouse fotos are gorgeous! The ground beef look especially inviting and delicious!

  9. That's a moody looking sea, but I am liking the moon, too. Pleased that you didn't get washed away with the storm.
I have been walking lots, but it's difficult to take pictures when Sid is pulling me in all directions. I had quite a day yesterday... I really wish I could have taken pics. We were surrounded by one of the Devon hunts.... hounds and horses everywhere, with me shaking in the middle of it all.... thankfully Sid took it in his stride and wasn't shaken up like I was.

    1. I have the same problems with nieces: moody, surrounded by (now there're two of them), and pulling me in all directions.
I'm glad to hear that Sid coped so admirably, and that you didn't find yourself in the midst of a washed out pavement chalk drawing riding a merry-go-round horse.

      Or did you...?

    2. What is this 'pavement' of which you speak???
And when did you change your blog header?? I thought it was white.... and now it's red....

    3. It's never been white. Well, it had some black & white circles on it up until two or three years ago, then it was orange, and I changed it to the one you see before you at the beginning of this year.

Oh, and I meant the pavement from Mary Poppins.

Have you been at the stickier bottles at the back of the drinks cabinet?

Tickle my fancy, why don't you?
