I don't think we've published any sunrise photos since December 2023? Oh, no, wait. There were some a few days later at the beginning of January 2024.
Anyway, as I woke up early this morning-
Although, not very early. It was about ten past six.
That's still quite early. Maybe not as early as Ms Scarlet, but much earlier than Jon, I suspect. Anyway, I was up early and the sky was relatively clear-
Unlike now - overcast and dull.
Anyway... I decided to pop down to the seafront to get some photos of the sunrise without Witchface or Bitey (who wished to remain in bed).
And, aside from the one on the right, here they are almost in order of appearance:
#2 Wait! I think its on its way?
#3 While we're waiting, let's have a look at the beach huts.
#4 Ah. At last!
#5 Nearly there.
#6 "I'm ready for my close up, Mr Device."
Splendid, indeed!
ReplyDeleteYou are correct; far too early for me, dear - probably the last time I saw a sunrise was either when we had a flight to Spain at the crack'o'doom, or while clearing up after one of our house parties, or else when I last got trapped in an internet "rabbit hole" late at night and eventually noticed it was getting light outside... Jx
Ah, well, now you can view a sunrise at a more civilised time of day from the comfort of your own home!
DeleteNo shags! But lovely early-morning vistas. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteYes, I was most disappointed not to be furnished with a shag or two yesterday morning. Ah, well... another day, perhaps.
DeleteI think we should be grateful for a partially submerged groyne, if not a shag or two.
DeleteI figured a comment might draw you out! How're you faring, up there?
DeleteI'm faring and I hope you're doing the same.
DeleteWe've returned to Home turf, Mistress. Cat included! Still finding some things confusing, but a "proper" Spring season helps!
DeleteBeautiful, Mr Devine! I especially like no.10.
ReplyDeleteThis morning I have woken up to condensation dripping down the windows, oh how I loathe trying to mop that lot up; thankfully it doesn't happen very often.
Apologies, this is the second time I have used your comment box as some sort of dull domestic diary.
Sx
Thank you, Ms Scarlet - I had to wait for some time for an obliging gull to fly into shot!
DeleteHave you been hanging your washing to dry indoors? Obtained a lot of house plants for this year's GPE?? Got an indoor swimming pool???!
Glorious! and I do like to see a morning glory.
ReplyDeleteYour seascapes are always fabulous, you capture the mood and atmosphere so well.
#2 is my favourite. It would have been nice to see Mr Bitey on the headland silhouetted against the morning sun.
And, thank you too, Madam A!
DeleteNext time I will try and coax Bitey out of bed to do a bit of modelling at the seafront.
Lovely! You're such a good photographer! I find myself getting up earlier the older I get. I find it nice to be the first one up, brewing the coffee, reading a book all undisturbed. Sometimes Daisy dog joins me and sometimes she just pops an eye open to watch me go before drifting back into snore mode.
