Dawn of Stone Circles

What with one thing and another lately, I haven't posted any beach photos for a couple of weeks.  This means they're building up and approaching critical mass.  Luckily, the weather is on the turn, meaning no more hot (or at least warm), sunny days, so I won't be going down on the beach with Camera as often as I did.
So, to catch up somewhat, here are a few days worth of photos, starting with dawn from the 21st (one of which made it into Dinahmow's calendar in the previous post):

My favourite shot - Which is why it made it into the calendar

Next up are some stone circles from the 13th:

Splash!

And, finally, revisiting those magic circles on the 18th:

Uh, oh...  What's happened here?

All fixed!

oOo

Sorry I haven't been around much lately. I've had a busy few days, with more to come, so I'll try and catch up on your blogs soon.

Oh, and remember to submit your captions over at AlpoJones' place (or Rimpy's if you can't work out tumblr) by Hallowe'en for a chance at winning those Freakin' Green Elf Shorts.  Good luck!

  1. Fabulous fotos, as per. I do love a misty shot... which sounds kind of alcoholic, but isn't.
Always annoying when there has been meddlement with one's rocks. Yes, I have invented a new word. You are my muse.

    1. Damn it, Thackeray got there before me with 'meddlement' - he is always doing this to me...

  2. Hello, Scarlet!

I always like your misty, moody beach pics. And rock circles are quite the vogues these days.

    1. Ha! And polystyrene ones, too, by the looks of things... Did that one feature in the original series of Star Trek, I wonder?

  5. The first, connected, circle thingy is a bit womb and ovary-like isn't it?

    1. Well, now that you mention it, yes it does have a certain connotation...

As for the calendar, I hear CZ have quite a few returns from purchasers who didn't get what they expected, so you'll probably be able to pick one up on the cheap!

  6. Gorgeous twilight sea fotos! Full of mystique and charm.

The rock circles are neat. Much more agriculturally friendly than crop circles. As if farming wasn't hard enough with terrible weather, blights, and pests, now farmers have to worry about aliens leaving graffiti and stomping down their crops!

Happy Halloween! This is the third day in a row I've had to buy candy. The previous two hauls were consumed the same day I bought them. I have to remind myself that today's goodies are for the children. Tomorrow, I cam buy more candy on sale, just for me!

    1. Bloody aliens! Their crop circle "meddlement" (thank you, Thackeray via Ms Scarlet) has pushed the price of wheat flour up so much that bread is now a luxury over here!

  7. Did you accidentially step into (or worse : out of) one of the circles while you were at it ? Are you behind the mirror ?

    1. Apologies to you - and everyone else - for my elongated absence. A stone circle did play a part in keeping me away, but mainly it was the Gingerbread Board... (I shall explain later).
I shall undertake visiting your blogs shortly, and I might even get around to posting something myself!
