Of Gorgeous, Beach Huts and Breakwaters

Yes, that comma in the title is supposed to be there. It would be a stretch to call the beach huts here "gorgeous" - I mean, they're not hideous, but they're quite a way from gorgeous.  Speaking of which, the Gorgeous is quite far off, as can be seen further down in this continuation from yesterday's photo post...

The tide was out far enough to expose the Sea Witch's house

I've never seen such a wizened and gnarled, wart encrusted old groyne!

Still, it centres up a treat!

Drat!  Missed the groyne.  I suppose you'll have to look at the blue sky and empty beach instead...

A bit of rough

End-of-the-Line

Hello, Gorgeous!

Oops!  Ran out of panorama which is why this groyne is dressed to the right...

::

P.S. Somehow, this is our 1111th post...  Where does time go to?

  1. You owe me a glass of fizz, young fella! I spat my fizz at the "groyne dressed to the right." (Always wondered what your line of work was...you're a tailor!)

    Super pics, by the way.

  2. All lovely pictures as always. I wish we had those little sea shacks here. I would love one. Your post has me thinking I may head to the beach again this weekend with buster.

    1. Make the most of the beach while the weather permits. Does Buster go in for a paddle?

    3. Well, he's so adorable that he's bound to get snapped up (and live the life of Riley under the sea)!

  3. I'm slightly disappointed we didn't see Gorgeous 's salty groyne close up.

    1. I'll warm up my voicebox and try and lure those Gorgeous seamen in with a siren song!

  4. I do love a bit of rough, but somehow the appeal of a warty groyne escapes me... Jx

    1. I can't say that I'm surprised. A warty groyne is not everyone's cup of tea.

Quite frankly I've run out of storage jars to keep it safe, and now find myself in the unpleasant situation where random snippets of time are escaping and smearing themselves all over the double glazing. What is a girl to do? Escaped time makes everything so grubby.
    Sx
