Broom. Almost...

If you can ignore the Harry Potter-ness of this clip, this is quite a good indication of what flying a broom is really like:

Although reaching terminal velocity-like speeds on Broom is never going to happen.

Not least because of how one's cheeks flap in the wind!

First seen on io9.

  1. I can recommend a Zanussi vacuum very highly.
Actually are you responsible for the cute little bird singing sweetly in the tree outside my window and doing my head in? Touché if so, I'm impressed!

    1. Does it come with a free pair of flight goggles?

The vacuum cleaner, not the bird. But speaking of: no. At least, not directly. Beaky seems to have seen off quite a high percentage of the birds around here. In fact, he's sitting on next door's roof top doing my head in, too. I think they're ganging up on us...

  2. This is brilliant! I wonder if very tight ski-pants would avert the flappiness...

  3. Is there a Jetsons flying car option available? I would not want to risk flying out in stormy weather & getting soaked or knocked out by hail. Those ice rocks really hurt.

Also, I would suck at this game, because as soon as I jumped out of the plane, my first thought would be on counting the seconds til it was time to pull the cord. My second thought, What the hell am I doing jumping out of a perfectly good airplane? I'm getting new non skydiving friends as soon as I land! And if I had more time for a third thought, then I'd be just screaming Aaaaaaaaa!!!...all the way down.

    1. Just be thankful there's not a FLintstones car...

  4. Ha! I was going to suggest a pair of Spanx to stop the cheeks flapping, but it seems Dinah has beaten me to that particular line of comment. *Sulks* - perhaps I will use the Spanx as a headpiece and support my grumpy jowls.

    1. I like the aeroplane, too. A DC3?

(That's the only old plane that I know)
