This was the view that greeted me on Thursday evening as Bitey led me home after our walk: The Moon with Venus peeking through the top of the trees.
And over Hexenhäusli Device, Jupiter (the brightest point of light) sailing through the constellation Gemini (last featured in full here). The two stars above left of Jupiter are Alpha and Beta Geminorum, or Castor and Pollux.
From yesterday: Cherry blossom at Allotment Device. I can't get enough of its scent!
And finally, this is my favourite tree in the village. It stands opposite the track up to the allotments so I always get a good look as walk home.
(There used to be another tree partially obscuring it, but it was cut down last year. Or the year before? I can't remember.)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MR DEVINE!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI hope that everything I have sent arrives in time, especially the man in nice knitwear. Have a wonderful day!
Sx
LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
DeleteMy Sideboard!!!!
DeleteI shall deal with this - and the rest of you - in the morning.
(Thank you, Ms Scarlet x)
He did turn out a bit large, didn't he?!! This is why I will always have a WordPress blog rumbling along in the background :-)

Ah, so there's the real reason for not totally committing to Blogger ;)
DeleteHappy Birthday dear boy. Hope you enjoy the knitwear.
ReplyDeleteFab Photos and I love that bonkers tree.
The giant knitwear will come in handy towards theend of the week as high winds and falling temperatures are forecast!
DeleteP.S. Thank you, Madam A
DeleteAlles Gute IDV !
ReplyDeleteThe scent of these blossoms is really great.
I am always amazed that you can name these tiny dots in the sky. I usually go with "Blinky one" to "the other Blinky", nobody believes me.
Thank you, dear Mago! The cherry blossom scent was a welcome relief from the pong of the stagnant water I emptied out of the allotment bath. More on that in a forthcoming post, no doubt.
DeleteAs for the star names, I've been looking at them on and off for long enough now that some of them have just stuck in my mind. And there's no reason that at least one of the many billions upon billions shouldn't be named Blinky.
A MARRIED man in knitwear by the looks of it. Check out the ring finger. Ha!
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday, Mr. DeVice!
Married schmarried. I only want him for his knitwear!
DeleteThank you, Very Mistress!
Happy Birthday Mr D and it was so generous of Scarlet to send you a whopper!
ReplyDeleteApologies, Mitzi, I guess that you've also benefitted from Mr Devine's gift?!!
DeleteSx
Thank you, Mitzi! And, yes, I see you have been caught in the giant knitwear fallout.
DeleteHappy birthday, Mr. DeVice! I love the beautiful picture of the Moon and Venus!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Ms Nations! If I'd had my reading glasses with me, I'd've been able to see that Camera had focused on the tree branches in the foreground rather than the Moon, so the photo could have been even better.
DeleteScarlet has really excelled this year!
ReplyDeleteLove your stellar shots of the stars. Geddit? :-)
Happy Birthday!xx
Fnah fnah! ;) Thank you, Dinah!
DeleteHappy Birthday, sweetpea! I love the moon and the stars and YOU! (in a sisterly fashion , of course) xoxo
ReplyDeleteLove you too, dear Savvy! And, thank you!
DeleteHappy birthday, dearie! Now I understand why Ms Scarlet's sabotaged your sidebar... Jx
ReplyDeletePS I was hoping for a photo of Uranus 🤣
DeleteI'll see what I can do Jon..... you know Mr. DeVice is shy and demure....
DeleteOh, I'm so sorry, Jon - I couldn't fit it into frame. Too much birthday cake, I fear.
DeleteNow, if you'll excuse me, I keep hearing rustling in the surrounding undergrowth. I have the feeling that someone's watching me...
(Actually, Uranus was up there between Jupiter and Venus, but too faint for Camera to pick up in the dusk sky.)
The cherry blossom is glorious!!!!!!! Always one of my favorite tree stars of the season!!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd a Happy Birthday to you my dear!!!!!! I have just the birthday gift for you. Now.... we may have to be naked and in a bed, but it will be a good time I promise! Just lay back now Mr DeVice........
One can never have too much cherry blossom. Thank you, Maddie!
DeleteI'm in position now. Will I need to strap myself in?
Oh.....it's going to be a bumpy ride......
DeleteWheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!
DeleteOh, check your email!
ReplyDeleteA massive croque em bouche! Thank you, Dinah - and a big cyberhug to you, too!
