Tunes on Tuesday!

I have found some new music without having to rely on Jon's efforts to keep me up-to-date!  Well, sort of...

This assortment has been painstakingly handpicked from a select pot-pourri of TV shows, websites, and blogs (i.e. Jon's!).

The haunting and beautiful "Sangue Latino" comes from my recent rewatch of Cidade Invisível (Invisible City) on Netflix.  It's actually sung by Mariana Froes, and there's an extended version (without the actors doing their acting thing pre-and-post performance).  Although, by "extended" I mean it's played twice.

This Dune preview track I discovered at Tor.comI probably won't see the film as I'm sure it can't hold a candle to David Lynch's 1984 version.

A Month of Sundays

Well, another week is drawing to an end, and as has been usual this month, I haven't got much to show for it except for a selection of very similar early(ish) morning photos from my leg-stretching jaunts down to the beach.  Sorry.  Next month will be different, though: "There be whales here!"; a-cat-in-a-box; Triffids; and possibly some photos not taken before 7am.  Possibly.

The header photo is from the morning of 24th August, and below are some from Friday 27th:

Could do better.  This is very similar to Tuesday's.

Ah.  That's better, although it's verging on Drama Queen...

Bridge Over the River Mun (or: "Show Us Yer Mossy Stump!")

Oof!  Sorry I haven't been around much lately.  It's been "all go" around here what with one thing and another.  Having said that, I haven't really got much to say or show for my efforts, so I'm just popping in to say hello and dump off a load of photos from Frogshall earlier in the month:

The rebuilt Jubilee Bridge at Frogshall from 1st August (below the 5 and just to the right of "Pp Ho" on this map from the previous linked to post)

Peering down to the dizzying depths from the west side of the bridge...

... and the rather overgrown east side

Happy Birthday, William (You Stink!)

And, apparently, Katie smells of poo and Tom is gay.  Oh, and it seems Bob Dylan fancies himself as the next Banksy with a seaside installation consisting of some rather suspect faces...

But before we get to all that, there's another week of mornings, including Groynes!  War of the Worlds!  Cormorants!  And that Red Admiral on the right (the garden is full of them at the mo - along with Peacock butterflies, Commas, Painted Ladies, Tortoiseshells, Coppers, and the ubiquitous and varied whites).

A Week of Mornings and a Sunday Seal

This week I have been mostly stretching my legs before settling down at the laptop for work-
Or at the PC on a non-work day.
Well, yes.  So I have been taking a brisk walk down to the seafront before 7am.  Not only to get some fresh air, but to get some exercise in before it gets too hot-
Ha!
Quite. Perhaps you should rephrase that to "before it gets too wet"?  Oh, and too people!
Anyway, I'd taken Camera with me on my wanderings so that I'd have something to show for it.  I've barely done anything else of note lately you see, although I seem to have found myselves too busy/otherwise engaged with tasks not of my making - mainly babysitting...
We have been rewatching Farscape of a cold, wet, windy evening, though!
So, every evening, then?
Well, yes...
Anyway!  Shall we get on?  Good.  Here are what the mornings have looked like here over the past week:

Art Trek: Andorian Piggyback

As (some of) you seemed to like last month's Star Trek cut-outs, I have thoughtfully provided some more for this month's Art Trek.
That'll teach you!
Shush, you!  Now, where was I?  Oh, yes:  July's Trek Art Challenge:

The theme for this month's art challenge is my favourite colour combination: Blue and gold. Lifeforms or livery, technology or fashion, whatever your chosen subjects from the Star Trek Universe, blue and gold must be the featured or prominent colours. And I want to see that gold glittering and gleaming!

Despite coming up with this month's Art Challenge theme, I didn't have a clue what I was going to do until rather late in the game.  I had an idea to do a map vaguely similar to the one I did back in 2019 - and even got as far as mocking up a little gold Oberth - but I couldn't (and still can't) envisage the finished article, so I moved onto something else.  Here's how far I got with the map:

I might finish it off at some point, but I probably won't.  Anyway, you came for cut-outs, so here they are - as fashioned over the weekend of 24th/25th July - a pair of Andorians with a selection of gold ribbon that I've acquired over the years:
