Anyway, let's have some music. After leaving you with Blade Runner 2049's version of "Tears in Rain" last time, it's back to Erasure for this moon post and "Moon & The Sky":

Vince and Andy seem to have a thing for the Moon, as it features in several of their songs. "Man in the Moon", for instance...
My manager announced the other day that he has a friend who came back from Thailand with a tattoo of a penis on his bum. He has no recollection of getting it. The friend is straight and works as an accountant...

ReplyDeleteAh. Cheated. Sorry. I should have noted that I de-brightened it and waggled the contrast slider about a bit so as to make out the "face". It started out as just a silver disc just like the others.

DeleteI don't remember this at all, and I was a big fan. Was it a lesser effort, or did it just not make it to the states?
ReplyDeleteI'm not surprised you don't remember it, Mr Peenee. It was from Erasure's unpopular 2000 album "Loveboat" which wasn't released in the US until 2003, and "Moon & the Sky" wasn't released as a single in the States either (it was in the UK, though).
DeleteI think Erasure were at their best in the early 90s ("Chorus", "I Say, I Say, I Say", and the sublime self titled "Erasure".

DeleteAmazing night shots. The skies look very eerie and striking. The shots of the moon, clear and covered, are spectacular. I'm particularly mesmerized by the moonlight shimmering over the lake.
