Two Months 'Til The Tinfoiled Ten!

As you can see, this young man in his
tinfoil shorts is attempting to withhold
his excitement at the prospect of another
Tinfoil Hat Competition
As promised, here is the first reminder for the be-tinfoil'd 10th anniversary of my arrival here in the 21st century-
 And of this blog!
Yes, that too. I hadn't forgotten.
Good, because it's the blog that has made all this possible.
OK, OK! I said I hadn't forgotten. My, you are a bit mardy this morning, aren't you?

Anyway, getting on with the show: The 9th October this year will be the 10th anniversary and, as we mentioned before, we'll be holding another Tinfoil Hat Competition to commemorate the auspicious occasion.

I still haven't decided on a theme, so anything goes - Let your juices run wild! Your creative juices, that is, as tin foil is notorious for not having the capacity to mop up errant spillages...

A tumescent, tinfoil todger pointing wand
Speaking of which, I've even made a special tinfoil pointing wand to be used to indicate the winner (and the also-rans)!
Hmmm... That pointing wand looks remarkably familiar...

For the curious and anyone new here, you can see the very first Tin Foil Hat Compo Gallery from 2010 here, and last year's here.

The rules of the compo will be along these lines:
To enter, you must fashion a tinfoil hat and/or other bodily accoutrement (we're considering allowing certain other accessories), take a photo of yourself wearing said chapeau/accessory (or, if you are camera-shy, put it on a melon or other head-sized object) and send me the photo (email address is in my profile) along with a short technical description of the hat's functions, and/or a tale of fancy to go with it.
The winner will be chosen by any/all of myselves, and displayed on this here blog. There will also be a (yet to be determined, but you can guarantee it'll be cheap) prize, or prizes.
And "when do we have to get these photos sent in by?", I hear you ask? Why, I haven't decided yet. Needless to say, I shall be posting the compo proper soon (probably later this month or early September), so I'll supply full terms and conditions then.

Get those tinfoil thinking caps on, and good luck!

    1. Now I had an idea I had mentioned and you think I remember? Prizes? I think that todger.... I mean tin foil pointing wand would be prize enough. How long did it take you to fashion?

    2. I'm sure your memory lapse is only temporary, dear Mistress Maddie. And if not, perhaps a blow to the head from the pointing wand will work that idea loose?

And the wand was remarkably time-consuming to perfect, funnily enough...

  2. It most certainly isn't, Mago! I'd like to see what Mistress MJ will make of it.

    1. MsScarlet can provide some "screwed up balls" to complete the diorama. Or is it an installation ?

    2. Whichever it is, Mistress MJ's going to need make room in the Infomaniac Art Gallery for it and Ms Scarlet's balls!

    3. Good heavens, I wrote my comment before reading the thread... I am becoming more predictable *sobs*.

  3. You said you wouldn't publish that picture I sent you of my todger, & I notice you express no sympathy for how uncomfortable it was! Actually I wasn't going to enter but my thoughts are now turning towards tinfoil gimp masks & thongs....

    1. Oops! My fingers must have slipped while I was attempting to file it in my personal folders...

Oh, yes, and about the discomfort? Perhaps a lighter duty grade of foil next time?

  4. Your tinfoil "pointing wand" looks more like it has come from a very fashionable Knights safety suit of impregnable armour... surely Sir Knight wouldn't want ones willy painfully wedged against the saddle mid joust...
Have you been rifling through Mr Lax's Ren Fair costume collection again?..

My entry into the Tinfoil Hat compo will be something else for me to ponder whilst travelling north for a bit of a break. I'll see what i can call on for inspiration in my travels... This is after all Oz and we are well know for our BIG roadside attractions... you may well get a huge interpretation of Rams Balls

    1. In the history of clothing ("Geschichte der Bekleidung" or "Kostümkunde") it would be part of a "Schamkapsel", also called braguette (with "R" !) or "Hosenlatz" / cod piece. The more vulgar expression in German would be "Sackschutz". Maybe it's useful for your next stage production, dear Princess ?

    2. Oh, Princess, your comment has now made me regret not asking Knight and Blacksmith for their assistance with the braguette! (I'm also wondering what else Mr Lax may have hidden away in that collection?)

I can't wait to see what type of gargantuan tinfoil concoction your travels inspire to you produce. Balls and all!

  5. I am going to do something extraordinary with screwed up balls.
