GPE #1 : Dinah's Sex in the Front Yard

How many can you handle? asked

D I N A H M O W

I'll start with some of the Quisqualis which is an absolute cracker this year!

Will look for more!

[You may remember Dinahmow's Hoya from last year's Event, but this year, the fuzzy, perfect wax-like flowers are open.  I imagine Mago has experienced something similar - IDV]

Vanda and Phalaenopsis

Trachelospermum

More flowers (and sex in the front yard!)

Unknown; possibly a Dendrobium

Tecomanthe hillii.  Harsh winds played merry hell this year, but it seems to be recovering!

And some "wildlife":

Mr. Goanna has a lady friend.

Thank you, Dinah, for the look at your really quite pink garden - and for sparing us the pink bits of those brazen goannas!

Next up is the always accomodating back passage of Jon - and Madam Arcati!

  1. So pretty! I love the pink and white theme you've got going on Dinah! Apparently, the Goanna's thought it set a lovely atmosphere for a shag.

    1. Thankyou, Melanie. I still do not have a "proper" garden here; I've kept a lot in pots, for easier moving later.

  3. Can we be sure that it's a lady goanna?

    1. Well, now that you mention it...I have read of some species other than human that are quite ambivalent.

  6. Beautiful, especially the star jasmine and thank you for the carnival knowledge of the Goanna, they would cost a fortune in the UK.

  8. Very beautiful. I live things that climb and weave and flower. You must have wonderful soil. And thank you for all the botanical info!

    1. The soil! ack! we are very close to the sea so much of the area is light, sandy stuff. But I do have 3 in-ground compost pits for worms and I try to keep things mulched.I've struggled with some gardens in almost 80 years and several countries, so I'm rather chuffed that folk like my efforts. :-)
