Head in the Clouds

We're on holiday for two weeks!
So I'm taking this opportunity to visit a couple of old friends who, coincidentally, happen to be passing by this corner of the world. The wind has now changed, so their castle should be within a short Broom flight tomorrow morning. I just need to nip into Cromer to get a pair of sunglasses, as I shall be navigating through blinding white cumulus clouds for the majority of the trip.
You see, they live in a (mostly) glass castle that floats about two-thousand feet up!

As it's a nice day, I decided to walk into Cromer along the beach

Not a cormorant (or shag) in sight!

On my way home, now, sunglasses in hand.  I believe my friends' castle is on one of those clouds coming over the horizon?

I'll be gone for a few days - a week at most, as all that floating glass castle ostentatiousness can be rather tiresome after a little while...

    1. Naah! Cheap plastic tat, the likes of which I'm sure Tom Cruise doesn't have to worry about.

  2. Beautiful pictures as always. I too am taking advantage of beach autumnal weather. But I don't see that castle? What are you drinking these days?

    1. You don't see it? Perhaps you have a bit of sand or spume in your eye?

  4. Have a safe & fun trip! Take lots of pics & party responsibly--You wouldn't want to get drunk & fall off that cloud. Because that would hurt a lot. Not to mention the terror you would cause from crashing through some hapless people's roof is sure to raise a ruckus.

The Cromer beaches are fabulous & inviting! Very picturesque & charming! Bon voyage!

    1. Luckily, no falling occurred. Unluckily, I forgot my camera!

  5. Just remember not to throw any stones while you are there Darling the consequences could be dire... But do have fun won't you..

    1. No stones, but I did manage to throw a good hissy fit when I discovered my room was two degrees cooler than I like!

  6. :...way home, sunglasses in hand...:
Sweetie, you're supposed to wear them on the bridge of your nose, not in your hand! Tsk.

    Have a wonderful time!

  8. Now. Inexplicable, do I win the prize for knowing that Head in the Clouds is the name of a head shop in your neck of the woods? And that this post is probably code for, well, meeting a caterpillar smoking a hookah? ;o)

    1. You do win! For the shop-thing, anyway - although a more vile and detestable shop I have yet to come across. Preying on the weak minded and gullible...
As for the post: No. No code. Besides, by the time I got there, the caterpillar had pupated!

    2. Oh, I didn't know it was like that. It sounds like the Zen shop here; there's a video on youtube of the woman who started it telling people that if you really believe in alternative healthcare, why would you go to the doctor.
      Isn't pupate a suggestive word?

Tickle my fancy, why don't you?
