Abuzz with tits and tails

The garden has been a hive of activity recently, as the following photos may attest.

Plus, it's absolutely tipping it down here at the mo, so the sunshine in most of these pictures is a welcome respite.

Ah, Cedplop. Come to ruin another batch of photos. And I see you've roped Ming into this little effort, too!

These two long-tailed tit photos were taken yesterday when it was also raining. Goodbye Summer.

That's all for now. Back soon with, amongst other things, the 2015 Tin Foil Hat Competition!

  1. Wonderful batch of photos! Note seen a Hawkmoth before; what an incredible mimic.

    PS: Nice tits, btw.

  2. Why did the title imply a musical number to me? Regardless what absolutely stunning pictures! You a talent when it comes to snapping flowers, insects and pussies.

    1. I think the title was the same as one cut out of The Sound Of Music to reduce the running time?

  3. Ah yes, I remember Bowles's unaccountable taste for mauve, & the admiral commenting that he would prefer Bowles to develop a taste for painted ladies. Is the boy going to give the shed a coat of creosote before the winter?

    1. Ha ha! Brilliant, Hound! As for the shed, well, Inexcuseable said that she might paint it, but I won't hold my breath...

  4. I have a hawkmoth in my yard too!!!

The first time I saw it, I thought it was an alien being. They are so bizarre yet fascinating.

    1. A hawkmoth in your yard, too? What a coincidence! (the first 12 seconds will do).
They are fascinating, aren't they? It's only when captured on film or in a photo that their true bizarreness becomes apparent. I wish there were more of them.

Oh, and lovely to have you back. Just in time for my 10th anniversary Tin Foil Hat Compo, too!

    1. Oh, only my cheapo mobile phone camera (it's a Nokia Lumia 520). But I do stalk my prey (very slowly) to get as close as possible!

    2. That Nokia Lumia is good at blog pics, isn't it?!! I have the same model :-)
Meanwhile, I have no clue as to what's going on on Mr Lax's blog. I'm sure you will understand immediately... please can you email me with answers - in ENGLISH. They are all being furtive and sniggery. I am ignoring them whilst looking noble and dignified.

    3. Snap! It is surprisingly good, although I'm thinking about getting a better one as my digital camera has bitten the dust.

As for Mr Lax, I have no idea either? I know it's not traditional Klingon, but I'm stumped as to what it actually is. I shall do some research and be in touch, soon. I hope!
