GPE 2026 : Terrifying Triffidery

Welcome one and all to the 7th annual
Terrifying Triffidery
sideshow of the
I N F O M A N I A C
Garden Photos Event

Barely contained behind their rickety enclosures are 13 of the most vile and venomous triffids known to science.  Unfortunately, a "blustery blust" blew all their labels away, so it is up to you to try and identify them and also guess which blogger sent in what triffid.  Please leave your guesses in the comments.

A word of warning: my woodsman has had to get his chopper out to deal with some of these specimens, so try not to startle him!

TT #1 : One of Them!?

TT #2 : Creepy claws

TT #3 : Whatever it is, it looks truly repulsive!

TT #4 : "Blob eye"

TT #5 : Crisp-fried angel with noodles, anyone?

TT #6 : The Cerberus of Triffids - Prepare to be swallowed alive!

TT #7 :Somewhere out there a multi-mouthed monster wants its lower lips back.

TT #8 : red rum

TT #9 : Snake!

TT #10 : I'm not convinced this happy trail leads to anything worth salivating over...

TT #11 : Ew!  Gross!  Let me get some tissues for that...

TT #12 : Ewwwwwwww!!!  These ones have already been used!

TT #13 : "Up Yours!"

Well done to those of you who made it to the end.  If you're missing any extremities or limbs, try not to lose your head about it - unless one of the triffids removed it for you first.  After all, you should know by now that this wasn't going to be like a gentle wander through one of the Royal Horticultural Society's open gardens.
I think Sarah Blackwood of Dubstar said it best with "Did you think there'd be flowers where you walked?":

(from "You Were Never In Love")

Pop back in a couple of days time for the official commencement ceremony of The Infomaniac Garden Photos Event - and to find out if you managed to identify any of these triffids or their handlers.  Remember to leave your educated guesses in the comments.  See you soon!

 P. S. For anyone reading who would like to take part in this year's GPE, there's still time.  Just email your photos to me (email address in my profile at the top of the Sideboard on the right) by Friday 6th November, please.
