I'm really sorry there are people in it

This post is just an excuse to dump some recent photos that I didn't think deserved to languish in my hard drive (and that didn't make into the previous Four Photos post).  It also contains a couple of new tunes I rather like.  And a cormorant!  Can you spot it?

All these sunrise photos are from 25th September

Here's the music selection (I wanted to get it in before the jump break): The lovely Howard (looking like someone's dad, but I still would) and Take That with the bright and pop-y "Higher"; and the sophisticated and arty Haute & Freddy with "Film Noir":

This view down the River Wensum towards Friar's Quay
was taken on my way to work on 28th September

Sunday, 4th October: a morning Bitey walk along the beach towards Cromer (although this is the view back east towards home)

I'm not sure where Bitey is?
He normally manages to photobomb almost every photo I take.
Oh, and I'm really sorry there are people in it.

These morning spume photos are from 10th October

And finally, this cloud Skeksis in a bad wig about to devour the moon is from 16th October.

Oh, and in Garden Photos Event news, We have already received photos from four of you - thank you!  The rest of you - which includes Savvy, of course - still have a week or so to get your entries in.

  1. Sun...rise..? Still an alien concept to me.

Fab photos - and Haute & Freddy never fail to please! Love 'em.

PS I plan to "set-to" on the GPE photos this weekend. Honestly.

    1. The sun doesn't rise until after half seven at the mo, and it will only be getting more lazy and slovenly as the weeks go on, so there is a chance that you may catch a glimpse. Probably not on a weekend, though.

I am not holding my breath for photos - I've learned my lesson over the years. Although that's mostly down to Savvy...

    1. How long have you been without a computer, dear Savvy? Since April (for that is when I published this year's first announcement. Then there were reminders later in April, June, July, August, and on the 1st of this month...

    2. I was hoping you wouldn't ask that question, sweetpea! I now remember your frequent (and pointed) reminders about the GPE! My computer died months ago and I lost use of the borrowed one on September 7th. Most certainly not an excuse, just the answer to you question, dear friend! (Taking pictures of the back garden TODAY!) xoxoxo

    3. Ha ha! Thank you, dear Savvy. I have ONE non-back garden photo from you saved and ready to go. And I did find another on your blog, just in case...

  3. I might not have properly spotted the cormorant, but I did spot your orb friend following you around in the spume!
Oh christ, the rain this morning is unbelievably rainy and we have it for the whole day - it's like sitting in a wet grey over used shopping bag. I hope you have something better.

    1. The cormorant can be found where you may least expect it, Ms Scarlet. As for the orb, it's such a hanger on (although I do like its positioning in the 4th spume photo as it looks like another, smaller sun in the sky).

We've had a lovely sunny morning, but the clouds are beginning to gather now. We're due for your rain any moment now and then all through the night. I'd best take Bitey out while I still can!
Perhaps you'll find a treat in the shopping bag just as Mitzi did in that shopping trolley?

    6. Thank you all! Yes, I've stopped all my cropping and zooming and colour editing of Dinah's photos now that I don't have to use them to create several more sets of blog gardens. Phew!

  6. Who were those old poofs and what were they doing flouncing around like that?

I absolutely promise to get my GPE entry in, just so I can ask "Did I win yet?"

    1. Ha ha! I don't think I've ever heard Take That described as "those old poofs" before! They've come a long way since this.

I'm looking forward to seeing what;s on your shiny sideboard this year, Peenee!
