Four Photos: Wishful Thinking?

A hummingbird hawk moth drinking from one of the buddleias in the Hexenhäusli Device gardens this afternoon.

Oh my gods!!!  They're almost holding hands!  They're going to do It*!!!!!!
(Two of my three favourite** lowest of the Lower Deckers - Fin*** the super-hot, pretty boy human med tech and Charlie**** the adorable Andorian engineer - from the first episode of Star Trek: Lower Decks season 4, "Twovix".  I took this photo back in April as I couldn't take a screen shot and couldn't find one online [I have found one since then, though] - I wanted it for research purposes, the end result of which will probably be posted here at some point.)

Bitey on the beach on Wednesday evening.

Someone in this house had this for tea on Wednesday - and it certainly wasn't me!

* According to First Officer Jack Ransom (in "Parth Ferengi's Heart Place"), the Cerritos is the "horniest ship in the fleet" (and doesn't have any married couples on board).
** The third is Buddy the Vulcan, as featured here with the other two.
*** He's not named in the show as he's just a non-speaking background character, but he looks remarkably like my backup lifeguard at the pool I swim in, so I've given him the same name.
**** Again, unnamed in the show, but someone has named him Charlie.  I'm going with it for now as I haven't thought of anything better.

  1. I always thought "cerritos" is something of Mexican cuisine, what simply means a flat unenjoyable "bread" stuffed with beans, or maize in GOds name ... So it is the horny loveboat of the starfleet - ahoy yo salty dogs !
The mice steak looks like a labour of love, takes quite a time to catch enough. Or are the Norfolk rodents of such giant dimensions that one mouse feeds a whole family for weeks ? Wrap them in tortillas - eh voila !

    1. Norfolk did have some very big "mice" [Eng / Ger] when I was a boy - nearly a metre long and weighing 7-10 kilos. I wonder if they're all in our freezer now?

  2. We love hummingbird hawk moths - just the other day, one was feeding off our phlox flowers in the extensive gardens here at Dolores Delargo Towers... Jx

    PS Mice burgers! Yum.

    1. The hummingbird hawk moths here congregate on our lavender and buddleia. I've just got back from The Old Vicarage Gardens and saw one there feeding from geraniums.

Do you want fried onions with your burger? And what kind of sauce?

  4. The first time I saw a hummingbird hawk moth in my garden, I thought it was an alien! They are the sci-fi characters of the moth world. They're amazing.

    1. I think yours are even more weird looking than ours as yours have transparent wings, don't they?

    2. They do indeed have transparent wings, Mr. DeVice. I seldom see them but when I do, I stop everything I'm doing for a good gander at them.

  5. Do the Hawk Moths look like bees with a long snout?

    2. Blimey. Well, I used to see Hummingbird Bees when I lived in East Sussex, taking nectar from orange blossom. Is there such a thing as a Hummingbird bee - I will look it up!

    3. There's such a thing as a bee hummingbird, Ms Scarlet, but we don't have them in Britain. At least not yet. I'm sure we'll be invaded by them if our climate gets any warmer, though!
Could your hummingbird bees be bee flies, perhaps?

    4. Yes, that's what I saw! A bee fly!! They are cute, but I can't say I'm happy about the way they lay their eggs!!

hummingbird hawk are always a joy,
I think the chap with the yellow shirt and blue face is groping the other chaps ass, look at the eyes.
Bitey on the beach, that is a fabulous photo
The thought of Mice Mince has turned my stomach. The thing about mice is that you have to take it on trust as you have no idea what’s in it.

    1. Yes, 4 Photos has been my blogging saviour! I doubt I would have posted anything over the past few months, otherwise. I'm so happy that you enjoy it - and are doing some of your own.

Charlie the Andorian is quite shy and is trying his luck. Fortunately, Fin (in the blue shirt) is a big ol' ho and is always up for a good grope. And the rest, too!
