Tunes on Tuesday - on Thursday!

Its been a month since my last Tunes on Tuesday, so here's a collection of some new, borrowed, and old music that I've been listening to since then.

Oh, and the reason this is on Thursday is because I forgot to set up the autopublishing thingy at the weekend when I put this post together.  Drat!

Reverberotic - Alison Goldfrapp

Nothing on Me - White Lies

A couple of new ones from Ms Goldfrapp and my favourite glum, beardy miseryguts and his band.

Catching Feelings - Christine and the Queens & Cerrone

Something Good '08 - Utah Saints

This popped up on YouTube's home page for me.  I did used to like it back in the day - and still do.

Jane's Rebrand | Austenland (Bette Davis Eyes - Kim Carnes)

Oh, okay, this was just an excuse to feature one of my favourite ridiculous romcoms, Austenland (and the most fake-tanned, overstuffed footmen in existence - especially the one fourth from left in the walk across the lawn from 2:04, but especially from 2:11!!).
Anyway, here's the original for anyone not amused by such things:

Nürnberger Spezialitäten (Karl Hoeffkes) - Music by Christian Fiesel

  1. I don't remember that piece at Mr Mago's! Where was I???! How whimsical.

I will be back to listen to the rest later as my experience is being ruined by a whining dog who is fed up with the rain.

    1. Ah, I see, I did comment on Mr Mago's post, but was probably under stress from the aforementioned dog, and couldn't listen properly.

    2. I've just not properly watched Pushing Daisies "Corpsicle" and an episode of Taskmaster thanks to an attention-seeking dog (who is, at this moment, dozing at my feet - why couldn't he have done that earlier?!?), so I feel your pain, Ms Scarlet.

  2. Ms Goldfrapp can do no wrong in my book. White Lies - um, OK. Christine & the Queens (she's calling herself a "he" these days, I understand) still finds it difficult to smile, despite all M. Cerrone's best efforts - he'd have been better off giving that song to someone like Kylie or Gina G, to be honest. The German nursery tune just annoyed me. And Austenland was quite a - ahem - revelation, to be sure. FOOT men? I don't doubt it.

Top of the pops? Utah Saints Something Good has always been a fave tune, even though I didn't know the remix, but... I absolutely, totally adore that video!! I think I've probably been "over by there" to that club in Caaa-diff, too...

    Thank you, Mr DeVice! Jx

    1. Ooh, I can just imagine Kylie belting out "Catching Feelings"!
And I did think of you when I first re-watched the "Something Good" video a couple of weeks ago.

I'm glad you found a few things you liked - even if one of those might cause you to gag.

  3. Always interesting to be challenged by the new but I now have a need to play Nana Mouskouri on a loop.
