Cromer lighthouse on New Year's Day |
Luckily, the Old Year was nowhere to be seen, and the New Year had settled in quite nicely despite the long journey from New Zealand and Australia et al.
Looking East from whence the New Year came, everything appears to be in order. |
Looking South. Yep, all good here. |
West over Cromer town. The New Year has long since passed over the horizon. |
A cursory glance North confirms the New Year managed to do all it was supposed to, leaving no compass point untouched. |
There. All is as it should be. Happy New Year everyone!
Ahhhhhh, and A Happy New Year to you as well! Nice to see someone is checking to see how New Year was received. Every time I see these pictures you take, they remind me of the town on Last of the Summer Wine.
ReplyDeleteWell, there are plenty of Compo and Cleggs around here. The villages around Cromer are full of retirees! Thankfully, I've yet to find a Howard & Marina amongst the gorse or sand dunes!
Deletethe view might have been different had you put on your glasses.
ReplyDeleteBut then I probably would have seen the Howard & Marina in the gorse!
DeleteNext New Year's Eve, Aberystwyth!
ReplyDeleteOh, dear. I could understand if it was a strapping policeman, but the police car...
DeleteWell, we did our best to give it the traditional salute-from-a-flute(or several) and then told it to bugger off oop north because they needed a fresh start.Shocking time some of you have had, but here's to a good year now.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Ms Dinahmow. We could barely make out the gunpowder stains from all those fireworks you had, and we made sure to wring out most of the moisture it picked up here before passing the New Year on to Canada and the US.
DeleteCan you see Canada from there?
ReplyDeleteOh wait, wrong side of the country.
Drink enough and you can see Canada from anywhere!
DeleteWhich is why I've cut down!
DeleteAre you incapable of a blog post without Freudian imagery? At least I post about Zippy and all that brings to mind is being restrained and controlled.
ReplyDeleteBuggrit my point is invalid isn't it?
Quite.
DeleteJust be thankful I don't live a few miles further east...
And for our next synchronicity I see they're running a zip(py) slide challenge! At last she can have a function in society.
DeleteAwesome fotos! The lighthouse looks quite stately, and the views from the top look spectacular! Beautiful light & skies, & even better, not a single invading Viking ship in sight.
ReplyDelete2016 is off to a great start.
I was hoping the skies would be a bit clearer, but Norfolk agreed to take some of the rain that's been lashing the North and West.
DeleteBloody Vikings. Never around when you want a good invading...
Hey! Some of us stayed.(And some of us then shot through again)
DeleteHappy New Year gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteSkies are still grey around here (annoyingly), though Winter does seem to be trying to make an appearance.
xx
Happy New Year!
DeleteWinter can bog off!
Happy New Year.... though the change over seems to cause a lot of rain. Can something be done about this please?
ReplyDeleteSxxxx
Happy New Year to you, too!
DeleteI think there's a leak in the seam between 2015 and 2016? I'll call a plumber...
Yes, yes, light houses blah-de-blah. HOW FUCKING DARE YOU CONSIGN ME TO DAYS OF COVEN PAST!
ReplyDeleteWell, if you would swan off media-whoring elsewhere...
DeleteIf you're going to stick around, I'll get you reinstated to your proper place. Perhaps some "dreamy in Speedos" photos from you would go some way to speeding this up?
THERE WILL BE NO SPEEDO PICTURES!
DeleteMaybe you'd better go and start your own coven, then?
DeleteWait a minute... Deja vu...
And a happy hopefully explicable year to you!
ReplyDeleteHugs
Jon
Happy, huggy New Year to you too, Jon!
