Four Photos: Fuzzy Behind

I have just spent a rather enjoyable couple of hours up the allotment not having a bonfire (more on that in another post.  Possibly).  While I was there, this fuzzy behind caught my eye.
I whipped Camera out and took loads of snaps, hoping that at least one or two might be in focus (Camera is, I fear, on its last legs.  The zoom lens thingy keeps getting stuck and a stern warning flashes up telling me to switch off and on again).  It turned out that ALL of them were in focus!  So that meant I had the harrowing job of whittling down EIGHT photos to four (I know.  As many as eight.  I'm already on my second glass of wine!), in order to construct this Four Photos post.

"Fame!  I wanna live forever..." keeps flashing through my head at this pose

  1. Awww - It's Spring! Meaning big fuzzy behinds enjoying the delights of blowsy yellow trumpets!
Well captured, Mr Devine! Is this your 'proper' camera?

    1. This is my proper camera, yes. Although it's only a compact rather than an all-singing all-dancing bridge or DSLR (I didn't get one of those because I knew I wouldn't bother to learn about and use all the features).
I've just searched "Panasonic" in my blog (because it's a Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ60 and I was sure I mentioned getting it here) and discovered that I've had it for 10 years!

    2. Mr Blue lost our Lumix - fab camera! I now have a Canon Powershot - so it's not a proper fancy camera, but it's supposed to do more than point and shoot if I learn how to use it. Apparently it has a mode and method for taking pictures of the stars, which I've been meaning to do since I got it.

    3. Oh, I'd love a camera that could take a good photo of stars! The Lumix has a 'Starry Night' setting with either a 15 or 30 second exposure, but the results are less than stellar... (sorry, not sorry!)

  2. I wish I'd got a Lumix instead of whatever-the-heck I did get. I now can't find its cable and I've no idea what all the graphics/thingummies mean...
But is this a competition ?(can I win a prize?)
I've just been " Artistically arranging " some flowers. I shall take some photos. But first...the Man has poured me a glass of wine!

    1. I think you can only win a prize when you have successfully used ALL the "graphics/thingummies" on your camera? If it helps, I am way off winning a prize, too.

Anyway, photos, shmotos. At least you got your priorities right!

  3. I love seeing bees at this time of year - and the daffs are their favourite early blooms. They often fight over them! Jx

We, too, have a Panasonic Lumix - and it does take good photos, and does have a habit of "grinding" to open and close the lens. It's our second one of the same model (I found a replacement on eBay a few years back), because the first one locked up completely and wouldn't open. Flimsy little bastards. Jx

    1. The big clump of daffs up at the allotment is VERY popular with the bees. I was watching a massive bumblebee the size of a small helicopter trying to manoeuvre into the trumpets yesterday.

The lens grinding on mine seems to have sorted itself out for now. I suspect a grain of sand had made its way into it and then got rotated out - hopefully not into the bowels of the lens itself!

    1. I feel there should be a song about such a bee if there isn't already, Madam A. Something similar to 'The Purple People Eater', perhaps?

    1. Don't worry, dear. It's just uncle Roger wearing one of Mummy's cardigans. Again.
