    1. It certainly has been a rather miserable year so far, weather wise. I'm sorry that you are getting even MORE rain, Ms Scarlet. Is there anything left in Devon, or has it all been washed away?

    2. Well, Cornwall are still clearing up after the last named storm, and some of Devon/Dorset has fallen into the sea. Also, the roads are all crumbling away and they can't be repaired properly because it won't stop raining. Truly horrible here.

    3. Against my better judgment, I looked at the BBC news this morning - I tried to stay away from all the political stuff which pretty much only left the weather and climate horrors. I saw that some of the Jurassic Coast is collapsing, and the rail line through Dawlish was closed again due to storm damage :(

  2. Pissing-down here in London, too - there may be some sleet involved, but thankfully no snow... Jx

    1. We were only supposed to get a bit of sleet, but I see there's a yellow warning for snow across the east of England now. It's supposed to warm up and clear away later this afternoon, but we'll see...

  3. Better than this aweful greyness, like a deadly blanket : Grey sky, grey earth, grey fields, grey all.

  4. It's barely light here, but no sign of the heavy thunderstorms they warned us would hit two days ago...
    Fingers crossed for you all.

  5. It was sunny yesterday in Weymouth they had a dinosaur race on the beach, this morning driving to Bridport through a pea souper was scary, my maid crossed herself when she looked at the sat nav screen and saw how close we were to the sea, begging me to slow down, it cleared a bit and it turned out we were a long way off from the the sea, the hysterical toilet.

  6. It has been grim but the first day of Spring is only 2 weeks away (meteorological).
We have to wait another 5 weeks for the vernal equinox, 20 March for true Spring to start.
    Hey Ho.
Your first photo would make a fab personalised Christmas card.
